The weekly Sailability sessions have made a triumphant return to the pond, bringing energy and excitement to Monday afternoons! From 4pm to 5pm, sailors with learning difficulties dive into the joys of sailing, honing their skills and exploring the freedom of the water in Oppies.
The inaugural session this week, on Monday, April 7th, kicked off with strong winds that added an extra splash of adventure to the experience. The sailors demonstrated resilience and enthusiasm, tackling the challenges of gusty conditions with determination and plenty of smiles. There were thrilling moments as the Oppies danced on the waves, and even a few splashes that only added to the fun! The session was filled with laughter, camaraderie, and a shared passion for sailing.
These weekly gatherings are more than just about learning to sail—they’re a celebration of inclusion, confidence-building, and teamwork. Whether it’s navigating the wind or simply enjoying the tranquility of the pond, every sailor gets to embrace new skills and unforgettable moments.
It’s not just about the sailing—it’s about creating a community and making waves of happiness! If you would like to get involved, please get in touch and we will share more details with you. 🚤
